What is the recovery from hernia surgery like? |
|---|---|
| I have a friend who says he has to have surgery for a hernia, and he says he's been told he'll have to be off his feet for a month or more, and no sex for two months! Can that be right? I thought most surgeries like that were easy to recover from. He's only 18 and in good health otherwise, shouldn't he have a fast healing process? My doctor once had a double hernia repair and he was doing surgery himself the next day (against professional advice, but still...).

| It depends on were the Hernia is, how big it is, the physical shape of the person and their out look on life itself. I have had several repaired from a beating I took when three thugs try-ed to rob me. They failed in the attempt but I did pay a price for my win. I would suggest that your friend have the operation, after life will be much nicer and far less painful. My uncle was born with one and wished he had it repaired years earlier than he did. Tell your friend to fallow the doctors directions and he will do fine in the end. GOOD LUCK FROM ZIPPER MAN! |
